Maya Provençal

Maya Provençal graduated with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience from Duke University in 2023. She is interested in examining how caregiver and teacher relationships in early childhood may mediate and/or moderate the influence of systems-level resources on the development of skills essential to lifelong learning for minoritized students. Maya has contributed to the SPARK Lab's MAGIC project as well work in partnership with San Francisco Unified School District. She plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Education or Psychology to contribute to policy relevant research that will promote equity in early childhood education. In her free time, Maya has a million mood-dependent hobbies, but currently enjoys surfing, boxing, eating other people's baked goods, and napping with her two cats.
